The 1800's was a time of change for the early settlers. Life appeared to be getting easier for them. Education was becoming important for the children. It would have been their ticket to a better life. Education consisted of Reading Writing and Arithmetic. The 3 R's, (Reading, Ritin and rithmatic) Older students would assist younger students and all would be in the same classroom. Write what you think a typical day would be like for you if you lived in the early 1800's. Include your school day and home duties.

I would wake up on my cot. I would eat my breakfast, and carry my books to school(if I had any). I would quickly begin any assignments I had. I would help the younger chidren with their work. We would eat our lunches, finish our assignments, and walk home. Once home, I would complete any homework, milk the cow, feed the animals and collect the chickens' eggs. I would eat my dinner, wash the dishes, wash up and go to bed.
I would wake up and get ready like any old day then I would walk to school and have a regular school day with homework and lunch. Then I would come home do work outside and clean and work around the house. My days would just go on the same,everyday.

I would wake up on my trundle bed and go do my morning chores ,like milking the cow, feeding the farm animals, and getting my own breakfast ready. Then i would wake up my dad to tell him to get the wagon ready to take me to school. I would do the work i had to do and help the other children with their work , too. Then we would eat our lunches and wait for my dad to pick us up. We would go home , do the chores, homework and whatever assignments that our mom has given us to do. I would then wash up and go to bed.
I whould wake up,eat breakfast,then walk to school.

chores (make my bed,brush my hair and teeth ) than go down stairs and put my shoes on gribe my things for school and go to the bus stop.
when i would get home i would help my mom with the cooking
than all of us would get are baths
and go to bed and do the same things the next day exspect on Satarday notting gribbing are books.
i would wake up, get dressed, brush my teeth, do my hair,put my shoes on,and then walk to school.
when i arrived at school i would get my work done help the young ones if help was needed.then i would walk back home and help with what needed to be done.

I would wake up help mom fix breakfeast. then I would milk the cow and sow corn for the chickens.I would go to school and do my best on work I would help the younger children with their work and start mine. I would go home at the end of the dayi would wasdresses,skirts,aprons,pants,and shirts.I would then beat out the rugs. then I would help get the younger children to bed.I would help mom corshah and then go to bed
i would wake up eat help mom wash dishes and then go 2 school and then do thing i 2 do at school and come back home and then help mom with things that had 2 be done around the house than help mom fix dinner and then eat.i would from there wash all the dishes wait my turn for the bath(if i could get one that day). than go 2 bed and repeat the cycle over again
i would get up do my morning duties then eat then walk to school at school we would do writing then reading and finally rithmatics.finally i'd go home do my homework go out milk the cows collect chinken eggs and feed the animals then go eat wash the dishes then i'd get cleaned up and go to bed get up do the same thing all over again!

I WOULD WAKE UP DO THE LAUNDRY,PUT SOME CLOTHES ON AND GO TO SCHOOL.I WOULD TRY MY HARDEST THEN COME HOME AND TAKE A SHORT BATH (IF I COULD).THEN I WOULD HELP MOM MAKE DINNER FOR MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
THEN I WOULD GET READY FOR BED AND THEN THE NEXT MORNING I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!: )

I like Allison idea becuase i wold do about the same thing as her i wold help wash dishes help do cothes
I would wake at 5:30 and help my mom make biscuts for my dad and brother. I would then pack a biscut and some butter for my "dinner" as they called it. I would have my lessons then go home and help my mom make dinner. We would eat then go to bed.
