1800's Education


The 1800's was a time of change for the early settlers. Life appeared to be getting easier for them. Education was becoming important for the children. It would have been their ticket to a better life. Education consisted of Reading Writing and Arithmetic. The 3 R's, (Reading, Ritin and rithmatic) Older students would assist younger students and all would be in the same classroom. Write what you think a typical day would be like for you if you lived in the early 1800's. Include your school day and home duties.
